Happy Hollow Builders is an exceptional company! Butch (owner) is remarkably honest, hardworking and dedicated. He truly takes pride in his work and makes every possible effort to ensure his client’s happiness, frequently asking about our satisfaction with the project along the way. We had an extensive renovation on a 92-year house and encountered many unexpected issues. We had full confidence that Butch and his team could and would handle any issues that arose. Butch is an extremely talented carpenter and meticulous about the quality of his (and his subs) work. In fact, the city inspector commented on the quality of his carpentry, stating that he wished he saw that quality of work in all of his inspections. Pauline Veigel is also an incredible asset to this business. She is highly organized and diligent with the daily operations. Butch and Pauline provide a personal level of service that goes above and beyond the ordinary. In order to keep our project on time, Pauline would personally wait in the permit office for long periods to expedite the process. She also offered to help us with cleaning and moving back into our house during the final stages of the renovation. Additionally, as a surprise, Butch restored an original transom that we discovered during our renovation, taking the time on his weekends to bring it back to life. Butch and Pauline are incredibly responsive. They answer calls during non-business hours and while we tried not to abuse this we did urgently need their assistance on a weekend. They did not hesitate to make a 40-minute drive to help out! I cannot comment enough on Butch’s integrity. It can be a challenge to find a builder that puts your best interests first, and Happy Hollow Builders does exactly that! Butch also has long term subs that provide the same honesty and quality of work that you would expect. Lastly, Butch and Pauline are easy and fun to work with, while being competent and compassionate. I would recommend Happy Hollow Builders without hesitation and would absolutely use them again!
